Panchayat is a comedy-drama set in the remote village of Phulera, Uttar Pradesh. It follows Abhishek Tripathi, a young urban engineering graduate who, due to a lack of better job opportunities, reluctantly becomes the secretary (Sachiv) of the local village panchayat office. Struggling with the slow pace of life, lack of basic amenities like reliable internet and electricity, and the eccentric yet endearing villagers, Abhishek tries to maintain his dignity and ambition. The series humorously captures his misadventures, the quirky politics of village life led by the determined Pradhan (Village Head) and her husband, and the quiet warmth that gradually makes him question his own priorities.
